WTI vs Brent Crude Oil
West Texas Intermediate (WTI) is the main U.S. crude oil benchmark, priced for delivery at Cushing, Oklahoma and traded on NYMEX. Brent Crude is the leading international benchmark, sourced from North Sea oil fields and traded on ICE.
Both are light, sweet crude oils, but Brent typically trades at a premium to WTI because of its waterborne access to global export markets, while WTI is more sensitive to U.S. pipeline and storage dynamics.
